Bank Problem

There was a problem with the processing of some of the credit card charges taken in during OryCon 18. For more information, see this link.

Basic Information

OryCon offers programming, workshops, small group discussions, an art show, a dealers' room, filking, dances, gaming, the Susan Petrey Scholarship auction, and much more!

Membership Limit Reached

This year's OryCon SOLD OUT. New memberships were cut off after approximately 1650 memberships were sold, due to our having reached the capacity of the hotel. Our apologies to those who were turned away at the door. OryCon 19 (next year's convention) will be limited to 1600 people. Be sure to buy your membership early -- if you wait until you arrive at the con, it may be too late!

Who's Coming?

Special Auction to Benefit Jo Clayton

This year only, Orycon's traditional auction for the Susan C. Petrey Clarion Scholarship Fund will be expanded to include an auction to benefit the Oregon SF Emergency Fund.

The auction will be held Saturday at 4:30 in the Klamath Room. During the auction, we will alternate between items to benefit the two funds.

In addition to many autographed bound galleys, we have a number of items personally made by science fiction an fantasy authors. We also have several scripts for J. Michael Straczynski's Captain Power series, both written by Katherine Lawrence -- one based upon an outline by Straczynski himself. And we have a poster autographed by Harlan Ellison and other people involved with Babylon 5 -- including, we believe, Joe Straczynski.

And listen carefully for the dramatic reading of a set of custom-made Christmas cards.

If you want to donate items to the auction, please email detailed information about them to Jim Fiscus (fiscus@teleport.com or j.fiscus1@genie.com), so that we can have bidding sheets prepared before the auction. Then bring the items to the Orycon Green Room on Friday.
