I should have the art show packets out in September. The art show should be sold out by late September. Notifications should also go out soon; a database crash has caused some delays. Please contact me at the E-mail address above if you need anything, and check my website regularly for updates to the list of participants. (If you are on the list and have a bio available, please E-mail it to me so that I can add it to the Web site!) Child CareAaron Bodor & Tash RobbAs per usual, Child Care will have professional nannies available to allow parents an hour or two of blissful independence during the convention. Rates are still being finalized as we go to press (figure $5-$6 per hour, with discounts for blocks of ten), and are billed in full-hour increments. Tickets for child care can be purchased at the convention office. (Check the Pocket Program for specific hours when child care will be available.) Dealers' RoomJeff PeckThe Dealers' Room is -- wait for it -- sold out again this year. (Admit it, you're not surprised.) We will have many of your favorite merchants back again. (One change: we will be relocating the autograph tables this year, so that they will not be in the dealers' room. Check the Pocket Program and/or daily zine for final information.) As of June 15, this was the Dealers' Room list: A Sense Of Wonder Events & TechKristy BatesWe have a very full weekend planned for the 20-year anniversary of OryCon! Perhaps you're one of the few who is more comfortable behind the spotlight, rather than in front of it? If so, Tech Crew has a place for you at this convention. If you're experienced, or just wanting to learn lights & sound, please send a resumé to Kristy Bates at the OryCon PO Box or the E-mail address above. Fan TablesVicki Harrison ˇ (503) 230-9325Let OryCon fendom know about your fan club or future con bids with a lovely fan table at Orycon 20! HospitalityThe tradition of first-class OryCon hospitality should continue this year, as we provide not only a place for gossip and relaxation, but ample supplies of your favorite beverages (well, most of them), snacks, baked goods, and more substantial edibles as the occasion demands. (Last year's "spaghetti bar" was so popular we're considering how to top it. Parmesan is a possibility....) Volunteer help is almost always welcome, and the fringe benefits are unbeatable. Internet CaféKurt RoithingerJohn Bartley Bigger than ever, better than ever, more popular than ever--all of these describe this year's Internet Café. We will again have a variety of computers, `Net browsers, and so forth available so that you can get your minimum daily surfing requirement here at Orycon. = Cover = Contents = News = Places = Events = Things = Guests = Policies = Credits = |
