The next OryCon 21 committee meeting will be held Sunday May 2nd, 2:00pm

ORYCON INFORMATION
OryCon 21 will be held November 11-14, 1999 at the Doubletree Portland Columbia
River hotel (same hotel as the last dozen years) in Portland. Guests of Honor are:

Art Show- Ready for May mailing deadline

Programming - Pruned the invite list
Need a deadline set for Guest of Guest information
Program book deadlines needed
Dealers Room- still sold out.
Hotel- Engineering issue with the hotel is ok, Stuart Axmaker has a current union card.
Opening Ceremonies- we will have one
Logistics - Does Fred have the keys?
Security - will be selecting staff members to be shift leaders.
Tech - Radio's are more expensive than pagers - put off decision
- haven't priced the light-bar truss yet
Child-care - tabled for an off line executive committee meeting, need to
decide on hourly price, and policies.
Writers workshop - No change to budget. We'll try to revive the young writer categories.
Deadlines are in September for entries. This is a one person
department, but would like a staff level apprentice so some
one else on committee knows how to run department.
Masquerade - We have a winner: Don Glover is going to run it again this year!
Dance - The Norwescon Saturday DJ was great, does anyone know him? Would
like to invite him to do one of our dances.
Treasury - Billing Westercon and Gamestorm for Regress Report - just printing
cost, Kristy will get the numbers and contact the other conventions.
Fan Room - Ruth will check for people to run this department
Gaming - Got a hold of Lord Ronin, and he is planning to make it to a future meeting.
Registration - we stand around 393 memberships, which is about 10% less
than last year at the same time. Probably due to the normal guest of honor list.
Shameless plug : OSFCI will be running a Mystery Convention March/April 2002
