Lists have been culled and topics have been chosen. Panelists have received their final schedules. Adjustments have been made; compromises have been reached, and bribes have been paid.

Programming for OryCon 31 is, in a word, "done".

The results of this effort are now online as well.

Since we're at a new hotel this year, the room names might mean little to you, so here's the general outline we used for programming.

  • Art Show and Dealer's Room are in the Exhibit Hall, which is next to the parking structure and does require you to go outside (albeit, not very far.)
  • Gaming (and LARPing) is the only thing on the second floor, in the Cascade Ballroom. Everything else is on street level.
  • Filking, music performances, and music panels are centered in the rooms of the Pacific Northwest Ballroom. These rooms are to the right of the hotel desk as you face the desk.
  • Costuming panels and events are, in general, in the Sellwood room roughly across the hall from the main ballroom.
  • Writing panels and events are, in general, in the Executive Business Center which is tucked in past the restaurant.
Note these are all generalities, and you'll want to carefully check the program for any particular panel. But we made a concerted effort this year to keep like events together.

This map of the hotel may help you to more effectively get lost once you're there. (It will also be in the pocket program so no need to bring your own copy.)
